Produced from between the ribs of the Male and the loins of the Female.
That means the human body is created from the water emitted from the ribs of the Male and the loins of the Female. It is told in verse 76: 2 that creation of the human body is from the mingled sperm of the Male and the ovum of the Female. The semen containing the sperm of the Male is emitted from the testicle, but it happens by the stimulation of a nerve that connects the backbone and the testicle. That is why it is mentioned that it is produced from between the ribs of the Male. Moreover, there is a teaching that the testicle of the baby in the early stage in the mother’s womb is near the backbone.
The ovum—the female gamete—is produced from the ovary situated in the loin. In intercourse, even if there is no ejaculation for the Female, generally the ovum is produced and pregnancy may occur. But when ejaculation happens for the Female, the ovum is produced speedily, and there is a greater chance for pregnancy by mingling with the sperm of the Male. See explanation 9: 28; 38: 24; and 42: 49–50.
